FARO DE ORCHILLA Until the discovery of americas at 1,492, the island of El Hierro was considered the western boundary of the known world. Thus, mapping using the criteria provided by Ptolemy in his book Geographia, it was accepted that the line between the two poles or Meridian 0 º passed El Hierro. So things remained until 1,883 in Greenwich replaced the tip of Orchilla as zero meridian. The lighthouse is surrounded by tiny craters called Hornitos and is a quiet place, where it enjoys a great tranquility.
MIRADOR DE JINAMAR Since he observes a magnificent view of the Gulf, with its vineyards, pineapple plantations, banana plantations and hamlets. A few metres from the lookout is the chapel of Charity and from there, part of a trail up 3.2 km border.
MIRADOR DE LA PEÑA The Restaurant-Mirador de La Pena, designed by Cesar Manrique, is a clever combination of traditional and modern architecture construction. Since it provides, in a clear day, a wonderful view of the Gulf and Roques de Salmor.
MIRADOR DE ISORA An ideal place to enjoy the wonderful view of the east coast of El Hierro, known as The Beaches, in addition to see the Parador Nacional de Turismo and Roque of the Bonanza.
MIRADOR DE BASCOS Since this rise to 850 meters high can be seen a magnificent panorama of the Gulf, stressing at the foot of the cliff picturesque village of Sabina. On cloudy days, the great mass of clouds rising to the highest peaks, is impressive.
HOTEL PUNTA GRANDE The smallest hotel in the world, registered in the Guinness book of records. It has only 4 rooms and is located in an area volcanic impressive compared with Roques of Salmor.
GUINEA Aboriginal town rebuilt based on original material, which was lifted by Bimbaches in the foothills of Risco of Tibataje.
LAGARTARIO It lies at the foot of Risco of Tibataje and is where captive breeding is the giant prehistoric lizard that can reach measuring 1 meter in length and exceed 400 grams in weight.
ERMITA DE LOS REYES Located in La Dehesa, is a place of pilgrimage for herreños and visitors. There is the image of La Virgen de Los Reyes, who is carried in procession across the island every 4 years (The Descent).
LA DEHESA It is a unique landscape of great individuality on the island, where the crown of junipers, folded up caressing the floor, attest to the steadfastness and strength of wind that sweeps the island.
EL SABINAR Centennial forest junipers, known for the spectacular their tortuous forms, which resemble an enchanted forest. Travelers are amazed and fascinated with the spectacle offered by the capricious nature.
